EVENT INFORMATION

This is an International Triathlon Union (ITU) and Asian Cup Series event and is organized by TRAP and officiated by International Technical Officials under the supervision of ITU/ASTC.

The K-SWISS SuBIT 2011 will be the 18th edition of the longest running and premier standard distance triathlon in the country. It has hosted the ITU Asian Triathlon Championships twice in 1997 and 2004.

The event will implement environmental and conservation measures as part of the GREEN TRIATHLON Program launched in January of this year. Some of the initial steps include reducing the use of paper for registration, not handing out plastic bags to the participants, and the recovery and segregation of materials used during the race for the purpose of recycling/reuse.

Deadline of Submission & Payment of Entries is on April 17, 2011 or at 850 registered participants, whichever comes first.

Race Distances:

Standard Distance for Elite, Under- 23, & Age-Groupers – 1.5k swim, 40k bike (30k + 10k), 10k run

Sprint Distance for Juniors (16~19 years old) & Adults (20 & over) – 750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run

Mini Sprint (13~15) – 350m swim, 10.5k bike, 2.5k run

Registration Fee:

Standard Distance:

P4,000 until February 28; P4,500 (March 1-31); P5,500 (April 1-17)

US$100 for foreign non-residents until March 31; US$125 from (April 1-17)

Sprint Distance & Mini Sprint:

P3,000 until February 28; P3,500 (March 1-31); P4,500 (April 1-17)

US$80 for foreigners until March 31; US$100 from April 1-17

Relay Team:

2 members- P7,500 until February 28; P8,500 (March 1-31); P10,500 (April 1-17)

3 members- P11,000 until February 28; P12,500 (March 1-31); P15,500 (April 1-17)

10% discount for TRAP-registered athletes; 20% discount for students & senior citizens (only one type of discount applies)

Paid fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE and NON-APPLICABLE TO FUTURE RACES.

Fees will cover cost of participation, race packet, a soft copy of finishers photo with total time, SPEEDO Finishers’ towel & K-SWISS event t-shirt, rental of timing chip, rental of swim venue, and post-race brunch. The pre-race dinner on Saturday evening is only for Standard Distance participants (Male & Female, Elite & AG).
