Congratulations to everyone who finished the rainy 2011 Ironman 70.3 Philippines!

Third Time’s a Charm

The third installment of the most prestigious triathlon race in the country was participated by over 815 individual competitors and 101 (yup! 101!) relay teams.

Pete Jacobs, last years defending champion, who also had the fastest run split at last years Ford Ironman World Championship, didn’t need to push that much on the run as he was barely challenged by second placer Jesse Thomas. Jacobs successfully defended his title and coasted to a 3:51:43 time.

Just participated in the relay the atmosphere was terrific. Just bought a ironman Visor in the shop, didn’t really need anything to purchase.

The bike course was fast and fun difficulty not to hard especially when we take out the heat in the picture. Did a decent time without participating and causing an accident. As Gov. Villafuerte said you want rain will give your rain.

Too bad though on the cut off suffered by participants I just wish they had let the participants continue even for the fun off it. Nevertheless, I understand the reason they did it.

I agree with your swim review same comments of our swimmer.

While the run course our runner only comment was the half on the race when they had to do a trail run in the route. Some of the people I know had to slow down their race because of that part.

Oh well next year time to train if I can do this solo
