  1. lacks water and water station..lacking in portalets. no aid station—wala pa akong nakitang mga medic and ambulance..kayo na ang nagsabing delikado ang race course..
gandahan naman ang start and finish lines make it more look professional, presentable or grandiose…finish lines are the best part of the race..it’s where dreams are fulfilled and PR’s are met (at para maganda ang picture sa finish line :-)..at iba yung feeling ng isinasabit yung medal sa finish line, kesa inaabot lang yung box .ano ba naman yung kumuha kayo ng 2 GRO sa Quezon aVe.hehehe.

  2. First time kong sumali sa duathlon.

  6. Boss Thumbie and Popo it will not take too long bago kunin na ni Rio pag oorganize ng ganito..pag di kayo mag level up,baka mawalan kayo ng pagkakakitaan..hehehehe

  7. sobrang traffic yung mga roads going back to manila if the next leg will be held here again pls make it on a sunday or better sa sctex na lang di baleng mas malayo yung venue mas mabilis naman travel to and fro

  8. I’ve been racing Thumbie’s and Popo’s races since I started racing multisports in 2009. While not all their races run smoothly, they’ve always had the welfare of the participants in mind. I know them well enough to say that any shortcoming, I’m sure was unintentional. I think it is quite unfair to accuse them of not giving back to the athletes what is due. They have come quite a long way from when they started and they have grown and improved despite some setbacks. They have given a lot to the sporting community and they at least deserve more polite and more constructive criticism than what I’ve seen here. I am sure they will continue to improve the quality of their races.

    1. nomad1996 I think you know better.as you said you’ve been racing multi-sport since 2009. maybe you can compare races with other organizers who have the same amount of entry fees. I commented not just for the sake of commenting, it is for the improvement of races and for the love of the game…I have nothing against popo and thumbie, in fact they have my admiration for organizing such event “for the love of the game” also…but as they are expert on this, there is still room for improvement..
for one, they lack security in the bike area as anybody can enter there and retrieve bikes without confirming who owns it…if you are aware what happened in IM cebu, even with the strict security some of the racers lost some valuables…
hope you can take suggestions or criticisms constructively and “with a grain of salt”…as you yourself have said it—they will continue to improve the quality of their races…

      1. Thanks,  Infinite Justice, I do recognize quite a few shortcomings during the event last Saturday and I hope most (if not all) of these will be rectified come the third leg. I hope you are looking forward to Leg 3 and Ironhearts just as much as I am :) Cheers!

        1. nomad1996 Infinite Justice cheers!!!see you on the races…just registered for Cobra Ironman 70.3 in Cebu…have you done yours?
next race will be Tri U3 and SubicFitFest Tri…
          goodluck!!!

        3. Infinite Justice nomad1996
Yeah, even with Leg 1, it took them a while to release the results. I think they’re still adjusting to the new timing system that they’re using.
Yup, registered na for IM70.3 Cebu. Naka-set alarm ko kanina! Haha!

  9. thanks for a wonderful event & experience. i read some comments & agree to best of my knowledge on 2 main issues, there were shortage of water stations & later water also at 2 stations only, whereas there was no water station at biking leg at all. some competitors dropped their bottles & never managed to stop bec’se its time consuming & dangerous. secondly, no first aid or immediate relievers from issues like cramps & other minor medical attention, particularly in biking area, where many bikers were distressed with cramp pains & struggling alone. i felt sorry for few who were in terrible pain. another point, please build center line ribbon or barrier guards both for biking & running to prevent people from hoping sides.

  10. it’s my first race.  i’ve been biking for 19yrs and running for a year, medyo late bloomer na sa races, puro pasabay lang sa yakult classic o sa tropang alaska boys, hehehe.  pero ok na ko, lalo na sa sched na saturday, may sunday recovery pa.  hindi ka aantukin sa work.

  11. yup. i agree with saturday races. enough time to recover. mahirap sunday kasi pagdating ng monday, medyo ika-ika pa lakad mo. para ka tuloy bagong ‘tule’ pagdating office..hehehehe,…

    1. @Jim  im not part of the organizer but regarding the indicator of laps, it is the responsibility of the rider/runner to keep track of his mileage, thats part of the game. kaya bawal rin ang paggamit ng ipad so you can stay focused on the race, but you can use your gps or cyclometer to keep track of your distance…

      1. Roadbikepilipinas Yeah, my bad. Hindi ko na nabasa email nila days before the race (at first time ko rin sumali) kaya hindi ako familiar sa lahat ng rules (although aware ako sa general rules). Thanks

  13. I’m one of those who are glad that the race was done on a Saturday. Sunday morning is church with the family so having it on a Saturday was better for me…This is my 5th Dua with the Adrenaline and I would say the course was good with the exception of the humps…There were lesser vehicles crossing compared to that in Alabang where we eventually had to stop because the vehicles were crossing.Yes there were no hydrations during the bike as you cannot put hydrations stops as the water can cuase the road to be slippery plus it’s only 35km :-) lots of things to improve but Im happy that Thumbie and his group continues to conducts events like which are really a lot cheaper…More power and see you on leg 3. ;-)

    1. NorbertoAquinoIII
      I agree with you sir!
Sundays for me is Church and Family time.
I greatly appreciate yung mga Saturday Races.
      Blessings to all Racers!

  14. thanks popo & thumbie for organizing the race. agree on some comments like tighter security sa Transition area.  But pls as racers, we have to help them also.  siguro pwede rin natin sabihan yung mga supporters natin not to enter the transition area.  I observed ang iba may mga assistants pa in bringing in stuff sa transition plus picture picture sa loob. kung alam nating for racers lang yun, then pls tell our supporters. on some concerns na baka yung iba sobra or kulang yung loops na nagawa, pls sana before race alam na natin yung rules.  popo and thumbie made this clear enough na it is the racers duty to keep track of the loops na nagawa nya.  part ito ng race, meaning as obligation ng racer.  agree on the medical team na wala sa bike course wherein may mga accidents na nangyari.  but if you need assistance pag may bike malfunction, yun ang hindi pwede.  part of the race rules again.  water stations sa bike course, i think for 35 km course, naisip nila na di na kelangan, and besides mas delikado pa prone to accident.  slippery, swerving, etc.  may nagcomment na di lahat kaya ang walang water in negotiating the 35 km, as beginners, all of us passed this stage, mas maingat tayo sa bottle natin na may enough water, and i think yung bottles na nasa course ay not from beginners, kundi sa mga mabibilis na that because of their speed and the humps, nalaglag yung bottles.  we, beginners are sana more cautious and mas inaalam ang rules ng race. pati yung pagdikit ng stickers. may narinig din ako na bumalik pa sa transition kasi di nya alam na ikakabit yung race bib or he just forgot it.  racing involves planning and preparation aside from the physical training para smooth ang experience natin sa race even may mga kulang ang organizers which i know, maiimprove nila sa next races because racers din sila before.

  15. I wonder whats taking them so long to release the official results? Give the participants what they deserve. A better organizer will surly rise because of the shortcomings ng pakarera nyo.

  16. naunahan pa ng results ng safeguard, kahapon lang yung race today labas na results, tsk anu yan sana hindi na lang kayo namigay ng timing chip. or sabihin nyo na lang na walang results para hindi kami nag checheck every day kung nag update or not

  17. sir inilabas na ni sir popo ang final results. sent email to participants. i think i post nya na din dito. kaya hintay lang. 3rd leg nov. 16 sa nuvali. epic ito…haba..10k run/40k bike/5k run ulit…grabe..patayan ito…kailangan magtrain mabuti to survive…see you all…

  18. Thank you to Popo and Thumbie for a great race! My fist objective really is to finish and still challenge myself so thank you sa organizer for that. Also, dahil malayo ako sa reg site (from Bataan), thanks for taking time to bring our kits to the venue since hindi namin nakuha. This is huge for me. Sa ibang races, they will not even bother. I will for sure join the 3rd leg, my first time for a Trilogy.
For sure I agree on some can be improved like water stations sa run. Sa bike there is really safety issue kung meron, so I would rather not have an accident sa bike.
