Safeguard Activ 5150 | Race Results and Review


Congratulations to the winners and finishers of the Safeguard Activ 5150 Triathlon! A total of 182 participants including 44 relay teams tackled the 1.5k swim, 40k hilly bike, and a very scenic 10k run. Hills is starting to be the signature of the 5150 triathlon series.

Mitchell Robins of Australia dominated the event with a lightning quick 2:05:12 finish time, followed by Csaba Kuttor and Peter Bajai of Hungary. In the women’s division, Ezster Dudas, also from Hungary, came in first with a time of 2:21:32 followed by Belinda Granger and Philippines very own, Monica Torres.

In the Filipino elite division, John Leerams Chicano dominated the field with a time of 2:14:35 followed by 2013 Ironman 70.3 Philippines Cebu champion Banjo Norte. Nikko Huelgas, wrapped up the podium, coming in third, with a time of 2:22:39. Marie Claire Adorna, of Yellow Cab Tri-Clark, set the pace with a 21:06 1.5k swim time. She finished with a time of 2:43:33, almost 3 minutes clear of second placer Jenny Guerrero of Team TBB. Ani de Leon-Brown came in third, with a time of 2:51:35.
