This is the first time an event will have a separate division for the local police and military, as well as the general public.  For the general public, the distance will be a sprint triathlon distance which is an 800m swim, 30km bike, and then a 5k run.  For the Police and Military, they will do a 400m swim, 20km bike, and then a 3km run. They will also be required to do the swim wearing a Search and Rescue (S.A.R) gear.
