SWIMBIKERUN.ph is a proud media partner of the 2015 Tri United series.

With over 770+ participants, this is the biggest ever Tri United 1. Which only means one thing, our sport is still growing! The race featured all the hard hitters of triathlon and the newbies using the race as a springboard to prepare for the bigger (and longer) races.

Mitch Robins of Australia was virtually untouched from start to finish. Setting the pace for the only sub-2 time of the day, finishing in 1:55:42. John “Rambo” Chicano finished second with a time of 2:02:44 and used his running skills to catch eventual third placer Benjamin Rana at the latter part of the run and set the fastest run split of the day (36:56). Rana finished 3 minutes behind with a time of 2:05:01.

In the women’s division, the 4th Annual SBR.ph Awards Women’s Elite Triathlete of the Year (Local), Maria Claire Adorna, distanced herself from the pack with a swim time of 21:52. She eventually finished with a time of 2:15:55. A clear 8 minutes away from second placer Anna Stroh and 18 minutes away from Ani de Leon-Brown who finished in 2:32:40 and 2:33:05 respectively.

In the age group division, it was Albarote Lezette of Herbalife posted the fastest time with a 2:34:18 finish time. Robinson Esteves of Team Sante Barley set the pace in the men’s division with a 2:11:51 time.
