COURSE MAPS

SWIM (1.9kms)

The Cobra Ironman 70.3 will start with a 1.9 kilometer swim in the beachfront of Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa. The 1.9km swim course will follow a clockwise direction. After finishing the point-to-point swim, participants will exit the Shangri-La boat ramp leading to the transition area. (Subject to change without prior notice)

BIKE (90kms)

From transition area participants will take a narrow road heading to the main part of the race course passing through Mactan Newtown. Participants will then face an imposing yet considerable climb in the Bike Course, the Marcelo Fernan Bridge. They will bike towards CICC (Cebu International Convention Center) which is km 13, which is the location of the first medical and hydration station for the bike course. Participants will then head underneath the iconic Plaza Independencia through the Cebu South Coastal Road Tunnel.

After emerging from the tunnel, participants will head to flat wide roads of CSCR (Cebu South Coastal Road), were they will make the first turn around at km 29 in Talisay City. Talisay City will be a major aid station with hydration and medical support. Participants will encounter lots of head and cross winds in the area, but will be rewarded by flat roads and a scenic view.

After the first turn around at Talisay City, participants will head back to CICC to make the next turn around at km 45. Participants will make a turn around from mountain side road to seaside road. Participants will head back to Talisay City for the final turn around at km 61. After making the final turn around, participants will head back passing CICC KM 77, climbing the Marcelo Fernan Bridge, heading to Punta Engano and transition back to Mactan Newtown.

Participants will traverse numerous cities in the bike course, Talisay, Mandaue, Cebu, Lapu-Lapu.

RUN (21km)

The run course is a 2-loop course of generally flat terrain of mixed asphalt and concrete roads.

From Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa participants will head to the narrow and flat roads of Punta Engano. They will be greeted with large crowds from the surrounding communities in the area. Hydration is critical since the area will be very hot and humid. Hydration stations will be spaced out evenly giving fluids and other needs of the participants. Turn around points will be on key Subdivisions/Villages, in Punta Engano after which they run back to the Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa parking lot for the well deserved finish line.
