Encouraging Healthier Lifestyles Among Filipino Families

Shopwise is preparing for an even larger Bike Fest next year after the tremendous success of its first event, aiming to further its commitment to encouraging healthier lifestyles among Filipino families.

On May 19, the inaugural Shopwise Bike Fest drew 2,243 cycling enthusiasts to the Vermosa Sports Hub in Imus City, Cavite. The event, which promoted family bonding and physical activity, attracted cyclists of all ages and abilities, highlighting the inclusive nature of the sport.

Princess Galura, Regional Director of The IRONMAN Group, the event’s organizer, expressed optimism about the event’s community impact. “We focus on creating events that make a positive difference in the community. With the support of Shopwise and the City of Imus, we anticipate even greater participation next year,” Galura remarked.

Imus City Mayor Alex Advincula underscored the city’s dedication to enhancing citizen well-being through community events. The Vermosa Sports Hub, with its top-tier facilities, proved to be an ideal venue for the festival.

The Shopwise Bike Fest has evidently resonated with a broad audience, reflecting the increasing popularity of cycling. The event featured various divisions to cater to different riding skills and preferences, ensuring an engaging experience for everyone.

Moreover, the bike fest served as an opportunity for Shopwise to advocate for cycling as an eco-friendly and enjoyable mode of daily transportation. Kerwin Legarde, Group General Manager – Food Segment (Big Formats) of Robinsons Supermarket, highlighted Shopwise’s ongoing commitment. “At Shopwise, we are dedicated to enriching the lives of our customers by providing access to quality products and meaningful opportunities. The bike fest extends this commitment by promoting the joy and benefits of urban cycling to our broader community,” Legarde stated.
