Triathletes Shine in a Display of Endurance at Triman Triathlon 2024

Triathletes Rise to the Challenge at the SBR.ph Tri Series’ Marquee Event

The Triman Triathlon 2024, the flagship event of the SBR.ph Tri Series 2024 Powered by Go For Gold, concluded with great success, bringing together a diverse group of triathletes at the scenic Fontana Hot Springs Resorts and Leisure Parks in Pampanga. Known as the “ultimate newbie-friendly triathlon,” the Triman Triathlon has become a key event in the Philippine triathlon scene, offering a training ground for new athletes and a fun challenge for seasoned competitors alike.

This year’s event offered multiple race distances, making it accessible to athletes of all levels:

  • Full Distance: 600m swim, 30km bike, 5km run.
  • Lite Distance: 300m swim, 20km bike, 2.5km run.
  • Trikids: Age-group-based modified distances for younger athletes.
  • Relay Teams: Collaboratively completing the Full Distance.

The transition area was a true reflection of the event’s welcoming nature, showcasing a variety of bikes, from entry-level road bikes and mountain bikes to high-end triathlon setups and even folding bikes. This diversity in gear represented the inclusive spirit of the Triman Triathlon—a race for everyone, regardless of experience or equipment.

Triathletes faced the scenic course with a perfect balance of fun and competition. The race featured a pool swim, followed by a bike course and run path through shaded areas of the park, with spectators cheering along the way. The weather cooperated, adding to the positive energy as participants pushed themselves to new limits.

Carlos de Guzman, race director and founder of SBR.ph, shared his reflections: “It’s amazing to see how far this race has come. From its humble beginnings in 2013, Triman has grown, but we’ve made sure to maintain its community feel. Whether you’re riding a folding bike or the latest high-end setup, this race is for everyone.”

On social media, participants praised the race for its organization and encouraging atmosphere. One athlete noted, “Thank you for making this event feel approachable! Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned triathlete, everyone’s here to have a good time and be part of something special.”
