Awesome race and race report. Balls of steel. Or maybe carbon fiber.

ps how's the p3? No damage?

Minor scratch on the fork. I protected the bike before I hit the taxi....making sure I will not be DNF due to mechanical problem Smiley
AS what ricecooker was telling me....I need to love this bike NOW....we both have battle scars Cheesy

Astrojuan,

Thanks bro. It is painful. Pero knowing that it is covered by my compnay insurance...ayos lang. Being a newbie in this sport, this will be my inspiration all throughout my triathlon Life....

Elmotel,

Thanks man. Knowing how Abu Dhabi organize this kind of event. I feel safer this time on the bike course. Let's see if my bike muscles will react to this challenge. Smiley

Orioner,

That never crossed my mind bro. I wanted to test how tough I am during that moment. It was only my 2nd attempt to run a 21k, and broke my previous time from camsur. With a left foot injury and still managed to finished it in a sub2 hr zone. Kahit bungi ako, I went to the celebration party afterwards and I keep on smiling. I know I deserved that party Cheesy....but before heading to the party...we did a 30 minutes easy run. Tapos LAMON to the max.

That's great... Is the bike also covered by the company insurance?hehehe..
We will all encounter incidents that will make use think twice about our sport. But, by the end of the day, we will still go back to the main reason why we do triathlon, which is for the love of the sport.

Harold!  You are the man and Alex as well! The run was long, hot and painful (cramping a lot kasi) but I couldnt not finish because I knew that wasnt an option especially compared to you.  Also I never got to thank you and Alex for being there the whole time I was still slogging through the run.

True spirit of a warrior and a Pinoy.....just so everyone understands I was the last Filipino to cross the finish line and Harold and Alex were still there making sure I finished and crossed the line. Most people would have gone home but you were there and Alex kept running alongside me handing me Coke and hydration and shouting words of encouragement.

Idol kayo mga sir and my only regret I didnt have a chance to say goodbye and thanks as my friends and family also hauled me to the medical tent.  One day I will race in ADIT and I will see you guys in Cebu.  PM me your personal email and I'll send you some pix but I regret its not as nice as your wife's shots.   Grin

Jon
