me and hubby ran 16k,our 1st 16k run, all-terrain pa!
i so love the river part, sarap ng tubig, ang lamig!
but on the way up from the river to the bridge onwards, i told myself: i guess train races are for the tough runners only, nobody told me. i should have known.
but then inspite of it and the delays: single pile down/uphill climbs, water, sand and stones weighing down the shoes, the must-stop much-needed hydrations, i made it to finish line at 2hrs 21mins(hubby at about 2hrs!
overall we love the race!
I would like to thank the organizers and marshals for a very good job on a very successful race. I have joined this race with my 20yr old son and our driver. We all did the 16k run. The reasons are first so my son would learn to give up smoking and hopefully get the the Running bug. Second, our family driver wanted to loose weight and live healthier. He had been joining my runs since last year and has lost 30lbs at present. Lastly,I’m practicing for my upcoming Ironman but I’m just glad to be influencing some people to live better. I’d like to thank one of the marshals named I think Gino and another Girl marshal which i didn’t catch her name but did help to announce my son’s name as he kinda went missing. Fortunately everything went well.
My son just asked me to get him new running shoes….Oh well, I guess that’s the plan :))
