Nathan Ridge Run | Race Results and Review

Congratulations to all the winners and finishers of the super tough Nathan Ridge Run! Rate the race by using our ratings system above!

It’s rare that I tap out on any race. Much more on what was a supposed to be an easy recovery 21k race! I got a free race kit courtesy of Nathan and didn’t bother checking out the course elevation profile. All I know that it’s going to be “hilly”. The course wasn’t hilly at all! It was hell on the cold mountains of Tagaytay Highlands! I began walking barely 2k into the run! You can sum up the rest of my race in one word… “OUCH”.

The best thing about this race is that it has REDEFINED the races that are usually held in the Philippines. Why? The course was unique, literally pollution free, the support and organization was good, and the best part? The medal looks bad ass as well! I heard a couple of people say “Pwede naman pala ganito ang karera eh” and I absolutely agree with them. Kudos to Nathan and the rest of the organizers. Definitely looking forward to the 2012 Nathan Ridge Run!

Special mention to Mario Maglinao of A Runners Circle Philippines. He edged out a Kenyan and won the 21k race! The Pinoy Pocket Rocket proved that Pinoys can compete with the worlds best!

Thanks also to everyone who wore SLS3 Compression Gear! Everywhere I look someone was rocking SLS3 Compression Sox and SLS3 Calf Sleeves!

To our readers how was your race? We’d love to hear your story! Write to us and we’ll feature it on YOUR SBR.

A triathlete making a comeback and a true blue Scorpio. That sums it up quite nicely :)
