Salomon Pilipinas Xtrail Run | Race Results and Review

Congratulations to the winners and finishers of the 2012 Salomon Pilipinas Xtrail Run! “Lost in the wilderness” – is probably the perfect quote to summarize the race.

The racers were treated to a very scenic (yet brutal!) race route which goes around the vicinity Tagaytay Highlands. The 24k marathon, errr, run was a mix of 80% trail and 20% road. I called it a marathon because it took some runners 6 hours to finish the race! D.A.M.N.

Franklin Penalosa, of the TIMEX-TMM Triathlon Team, topped the 24k men’s race with a time of 2:12, followed by Pepito of Team Lucban. Andrew Chinalpan wrapped up the 24k podium finishers, with a blazing time of 2:27. Pen Nepomuceno and Mia Constantino topped the women’s 24k race with a 1-2 podium finish respectively.

SBR.ph Team

A triathlete making a comeback and a true blue Scorpio. That sums it up quite nicely :)
