Le Tour de Filipinas Stage 3 | Race Results and Review

Drama once again at the tour! This time, it all happened three kms away from the finish line. Oscar Rendole, of Mail and More, along with a group of 3 riders, built a 2:04 minute gap on the yellow jersey.

But Timo Scholz (CCN), the yellow jersey owner, showed his experience and just stayed in the Peloton. Catching the breakaway group with barely 3 kms to go and crossing the finishline in 18th place, enough to retain the yellow jersey.

Azamat Turaev of UST  won stage 3 of the tour, followed by Chun Kai Feng of ACT. Shinichi Fukushima of TSG rounded up the podium.

In the GC, Timo Scholz is 26 seconds clear of second placer Alexander Malone of PBR. The nearest Filipino in contention is Oscar Reynante of Mail and more, who is 1:06 minutes behind.

Arnel Quirimit of GO21 is once again the winner is the green jersey (best sprinter), while Turaev stole the white jersey from R. Roque of American Vinyl/LPGMA.

The first winner of the KOM stage goes to C Feng of ACT.

Today marks the final stage of the tour. An “all or nothing” fight to the finish. No more excuses.

Let’s continue cheering for our Filipino riders! We have a good chance of getting the yellow jersey today! Let’s pray that it happens!

A triathlete making a comeback and a true blue Scorpio. That sums it up quite nicely :)
