Good luck to the hardcore participants of the 2012 TIMEX 226 Bohol Triathlon! Participants this year are in for a treat! Check out the official “swag” gear of the race! More reason to train harder and join next years edition!

First of all, let’s give a round of applause to the 95 brave souls who will Swim 3.8km’s, Bike 180km’s, and then top it off with a 42km Run! Good luck!

Before we get to the swag, TIMEX 226 will also be doing something new this year! The Anda Pants Run!

If you’re a true Ironman geek, you know the Kona World Championships and the equally iconic Kona Underpants Run – triathletes running around the roads of the island wearing nothing more than a pair of underwear before the big race.

What started as a little protest jog against wearing Speedos in appropriate places (stores, restos, airport) in 1998, it’s now a big pre-Ironman World Championship event for a cause, giving back to the local community in Kona.It’s high time we give back to the great community that welcomes us every time we race.

The first “Anda-pants” Run is on Nov. 30, a day before the Timex 226 in Anda, Bohol. It’s a 3km fun run for a cause starting from Anda Plaza. For every runner in “Anda-pants”, Bike King will donate 5 t-shirts to a schoolchild in Anda Elementary School. Donations in cash or in kind (t-shirts) will also be received for those who want to give more.

No registration fee. No aid stations. Heartrate monitors optional. Pure fun for a cause. Everyone is welcome to join, Timex 226 participants, friends, family, pets.

Now for the best part, the swag! Racers and finishers will be getting a lot of awesome freebies this year!

The only requirement of course is to run in your “Anda-pants” (briefs, tighty whities, bra and panties). Strictly no swimsuits/trisuits allowed.
