Speedo Philippines Launches Sprint/Summer 2013 Collection | Event Coverage
“We didn’t come to the water this time, the water came to us”. Strong rains didn’t stop Speedo Philippines last night from unveiling its Spring/Summer collection for 2013. Models as well as Speedo brand ambassadors blazed the runway highlighted by Para-lympic champion Arnel Aba.

Speedo® ushers in the sizzling summer season with its wide selection of swimwear from its Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Offering a full complement of swimwear and accessories for swimmers of all types and ages, Speedo combines fashion and function to enable everyone to make the most of their time in the water.
The SS2013 collections comprise of a wide selection of swimwear for those who swim for fitness. Those who swim competitively can also choose from a selection of vibrant and eye catching summer prints for use in training.
The new collection features a wide range of fun, fashionable and functional items combining unparalleled fit and support. The suits are designed for the rigours of activities including aqua aerobics and underwater running. Colour inspirations include ‘Jewel Tones’, using high saturation to herald feelings of preciousness, ‘New Breeze’, alluding to purity and with a modern edge, and Sunny Daze, providing looks that ooze nostalgic optimism. Finally ‘Energize’ is inspired by the evolution of technology where natural meets synthetic.
Speedo Swim Fitness Collection
Speedo® has unveiled exciting new additions to its Swim Fitness collection, offering a comprehensive selection of swimwear that’s hardwearing functional and stylish enough to grace any gym bag for those who swim as a part of their fitness regime.
Key products include the Rapidmotion Placement High Neck Swimsuit for women with an eye catching aesthetic which offers the modesty and security of a raised neckline, coupled with a classic white base with Hollywood pink detailing.
For men, the Rapidmotion is available as a stylish aquashort, with new surf (royal blue)/navy and black/hot orange colourways offering a subtle, no-nonsense look for those who swim to stay fit and healthy.
For the new season, Speedo also introduces a new selection of attractive and affordable swimwear, the ‘Monogram’ range. An update to the highly popular ‘Superiority’ collection, Monogram features a new taped detail made up of interlocking ‘S’ symbols for a subtle and stylish look available in a selection of silhouettes and colourways.
Speedo Health and Wellbeing Collection
Speedo’s Sculpture range offers optimum comfort and support coupled with on-trend looks, feminine styling and superior comfort. Functions including bust support, all over body shaping, tummy control and adjustable non-slip straps help women look and feel their best both whilst in the water, and also when making their way to and from the pool.
Among the new additions to the collection is the Premiere Aurashine 1 Piece, which feature a classic black base with garnet (pink) and oxid grey print which visibly shapes the body to flatter the figure. The Premiere Spashine 1 Piece is available in a vibrant garnet (pink) solid colourway with adjustable and secure straps to ensure the suit stays in place.
Speedo® has introduced the latest additions to its Aqua Active collection, offering a stylish yet hardwearing swimwear range designed specifically for the rigours of aqua activity including aqua aerobics, aqua running and aqua cycling.
Among the new products are the Crystalflux 1 Piece, which features a hardwearing power mesh to encourage the full complement of the vertical and horizontal movement essential for aqua gym activities.
Speedo Competitive Collection
Speedo’s wide selection of competitive swimwear returns with a full complement of training product in bright and vibrant prints. Each cut for perfect fit and comfort, the range is produced using hard-wearing and long-lasting fabrics, guaranteeing that every suit is rigorous enough to withstand the most intensive of training regimes.
Key new products for the season include the TurboDive Placement Powerback, featuring an allover sublimated gradient print on a choice of navy or black base.
For men, the Turbodive Placement Panel is available in a classic black base with a large panelled gradient print along the leg for a splash of colour.
Speedo Play and Fun
Speedo’s new collection of summer swimwear is certain to help fashion conscious lovers of swimming look and feel great on the beach or on holiday, each cut to be perfect for swimming. Combining fashionable, fun and on-trend designs with the quality for which Speedo is known, the Play and Fun range is aimed at leisure swimmers. The collection includes beach sports staples taking inspiration from the brand’s heritage on the beach to deliver a bright, fashionable and retro inspired range of bikinis, tankinis, and watershorts that are cool and multi-functional whether being active or just relaxing on the beach.

Fierce and feminine best describe the Feathers range with its black animal print and purple lining.
Watershorts
For Men, the range has the Speedreef Xpress Dry Watershort with Xpress Dry technology, meaning that the shorts are dry almost immediately after leaving the water.
