Motion (SRP P8,495.00)

Looking for stability? Then the Newton Motion is for you. This Stability Performance Trainer is for runners who need a training shoe that can also work for faster sessions and even for racing. Medial posting offsets pronation to complement the Action/ReactionTM technology in the forefoot. It utilizes highly breathable, fast drying open air mesh, minimal overlays, and metatarsal stretch panels for a light and comfortable fit. The carbon rubber heel and high density rubber outersole will last the distance runner many quality miles, yet a pair only weighs a scant 9.3 ounces. The heel-to-toe drop is 3mm.

Gravity (SRP P8,495.00)

Designed for neutral runners, the Newton Gravity can be used as a daily training shoe for faster-paced tempo runs, interval sessions, and as race shoe. The Gravity features Action/ReactionTM technology in the midfoot and heel, a biomechanical metatarsal sensor plate, and enhanced midfoot flexibility. The open air mesh upper is extremely breathable and quick drying. A high density outersole and carbon heel promote excellent durability for even the highest mileage runners. The Newton Gravity weighs 9.1 ounces and has a heel-to-toe drop of 3mm.

Distance S (SRP P7,995.00)

Need the lightest running shoe you can get without resorting to a racing flat? Check out the Newton Distance S. Designed for fast-paced running, this lightweight performance stability trainer is a great choice for runners who need a shoe for short- or mid-distance racing and weekly speed sessions.  It features Action/ReactionTM technology, dual-density medial posting, a lightweight, quick drying mesh upper, biomechanical metatarsal sensor plate, high-rebound EVA in the midsole, and a lightweight EVA heel. The Newton Distance S weighs 7.8 ounces and has a heel-to-toe drop of 2mm.

Designed for more efficient runners, the Newton Distance is a lightweight neutral performance trainer ideal for interval sessions, tempo sessions, and even for racing. Featuring a highly breathable, quick drying open air mesh, minimal anatomical support strapping, Action/ReactionTM technology in the midfoot, biomechanical metatarsal sensor plate, and Met-flex enhanced midfoot flexibility. The Newton Distance weighs 7.8 ounces and has a heel-to-toe drop of 2mm.

2013 Newton Ambassadors Lead the Way

 The Quorum Group officially revealed today the faces of Newton Running for 2013. Competitive, driven, and technically proficient, high performance athletes, the Newton Ambassadors are elite athletes who exemplify the “Work Hard, Play Hard” ideal.

The Newton Ambassadors are leaders in their respective fields of industry as well as being champions on the race course.

The 2013 Newton Ambassadors are:

Arland Macasieb: A professional triathlete, Fil-Am triathlete Arland Macasieb is a 3-time Boston Marathon Qualifier, and the 2011 Timex 226 and Ironman 70.3 Camsur Filipino Elite champion. He is also a 2-time SEA Games Bronze medalist, the 2002 Asian Aquathlon Champion, and has finished the Ironman triathlon no less than 20 times, including the 1998 Hawaii Ironman World Championship. He holds the Ironman-distance record time of 9:39 from the 2012 Chesapeakeman. Arland is based in New Jersey, USA.

Andy Leuterio: As the Director and Head Coach of Alpha Training Systems, Andy specializes in high performance Age-Group coaching and has helped numerous triathletes achieve new Personal Records and podium places. Andy is also the 2012 Tri United Series 30-34 Age Group Champion, Pico Triathlon 30-34 Age Group Champion and fastest amateur, and has raced in the 2011 Ironman 70.3 World Championships.

Don Velasco: Recognized as one of the fastest runners in the sport of triathlon, “Flying Don” Velasco regularly visits the podium in practically any race he joins. Don was the SBR.PH “Male Age Group Triathlete of the Year” for 2012, the 25-29 Age Group Champion for the 2012 Tri United Series, and most recently topped his age group yet again at the Tri United 1 race in Subic.

Joey Ramirez: As the Chief Executive Officer of Dan’s, Joey oversees distribution for some of the country’s top action sports brands such as Specialized, GoPro, and Fox Racing. An avid triathlete himself, Joey is a consistent Age Group podium placer. His most recent accomplishment is winning the highly competitive 30-34 Age Group at the Olympic-distance 2013 Tri United 1.

Jami Ramirez: Even saddled with the daily rigors of being the Chief Operating Officer of Dan’s, Jami Ramirez is one of the most talented young triathletes today, consistently placing – if not winning – in his Age Group. Jami most recently topped the highly competitive 19-27 Age Group at the 2013 Sipalay Triathlon.

Julian “Jay” Valencia: A Newton Natural Running-certified Coach, Julian Valencia heads Turtle Pace Coaching for age group triathletes. Julian is the 2012 Tri United Series 35-39 Age Group Champion.

Toby Claudio: As the President for of Quorum International, Toby lives and breathes sports and is especially passionate about running. Toby spearheaded the introduction of Newton Running and the RUNNR retail chain back in 2008. Despite an extremely busy schedule, Toby still makes time to train for the grueling sport of triathlon, recently finishing in the Top 10 of his first race at the 2013 Tri United 1. Toby aims to finish strong in this year’s Ironman 70.3 Cebu.

Mark Ellis: As the Country Manager of Fitness First Health Clubs in the Philippines, Mark’s job is one of the most demanding in the country, yet he still finds the time to train and embody the active and fit lifestyle. Always a factor in any race he joins, Mark was the 40-44 Age Group champion in 2011 and 2012 at the Subic International Triathlon.

Doray Ellis: Even as a Business Unit Head for TV5 Entertainment, Doray Ellis’ stressful career doesn’t stop her from reaching her Personal Best each and every time she races. Doray is one of the fastest bike-runners in the sport of triathlon, consistently riding and running down her rivals even under the most punishing conditions. In 2012 she was the 40-44 Age Group Champion for the Olympic-distance Ironman 5150 and the long course Ironman 70.3 Cebu.

Keshia Fule: With a background in competitive swimming and ultramarathon, Keshia Fule is one of the toughest triathletes in the Age Group ranks today. A Specialized Body Geometry FIT Technician and the manager of the Specialized Concept Store, Keshia still finds time to train and race many girls and boys to the ground. Keshia was recently named the 2012 SBR.PH “Female Rookie of the Year” and won her Age Group at the Tri United Olympic-distance race in Subic last March.

Sandra Gonzalez: A former member of the National Triathlon Team, Sandra is one of the most affable personalities in the local triathlon scene yet is fiercely competitive. Sandra is a 2-time Silver Medalist at the Southeast Asian Games, held the Philippine Olympic-distance record from 2005 to 2011, and is a 5-time National Women’s Champion. Now focusing on a career in portfolio management at ATR KimEng Asset Management, Sandra still competes in the Age-Group ranks. In 2012 Sandra was the 30-34 Age Group champion at the Ironman 70.3 Cebu and Olympic-distance 5150.

Senator Pia S. Cayetano: With her advocacies including women, children, the elderly, social services, and public health, one would think Senator Pia Cayetano has her hands full. Yet she is also an avid triathlete, setting an example for all busy women that it really is possible to have a fulfilling career and an active lifestyle. She is a multiple finisher of the Ironman 70.3 distance, the 2007 Ironman Western Australia, and has run the Tokyo and New York marathon, among others.
