Robeno Javier and Joyette Jopson ruled the 2014 Duaman Duathlon X2 as they led the race from start to finish. Javier, the 2x SBR.ph Annual Awards Duathlete of the Year, made his move in the first run and just paced himself from then on. Jopson, the 2014 Cobra Ironman 70.3 Filipino Elite Champion, was challenged on the first 12k but broke away on the bike to cruise all the way to the finish line.

Despite the storm days before leading the race, participants were blessed with perfect racing conditions on race day. The race consisted of 85% newbies (first / second time duathletes), which surprised us as the event was definitely not for the faint of heart! But the best part is, almost everyone was still able to finish! We also decided to extend the cut off time to accommodate those who had a hard time on the bike. :)
Trivia : The Duaman Duathlon X2 was called X2 because it is DOUBLE the distance of the first Duaman. :)
Thank you to everyone who supported the SBR.ph Tri Series for 2014! Thank you to our sponsors as well. None of this would have been possible without you guys!
