BREAKING : #AquamanAquathlon New Venue | Open Water

Heads up, SBR.ph nation! Since we broke the allowed capacity (300 max participants) of the Philsports Arena (formerly ULTRA) pool, we decided that the lane lines would be too congested for the newbie Aquamans.  Philsports also won’t allow us anymore to use the pool since their limit is only 300 participants. We’re still finalizing the details but we’re pretty much sure that it would be somewhere up north, where triathlons usually take place.

This is in perfect conjunction too with our upcoming OPEN WATER SWIM CHALLENGE series!

Because of this, we will be able to get rid of the wave starts and release everyone in one go. Just like the famous triathlon washing machine swim start!

If not now, when?

We’ve always believed that the best way to teach the newbies is to throw them into the fire. What better way to do that than to make them do open water swimming on their first aquathlon right?

Is this real?

Yep. It just got real today. But don’t worry, if you’re too scared or not ready yet to swim where the sharks usually swim, we’re pleased to announce that we will have safety floatation devices (eg : pool noodles and salbadida) on standby available for rent.

I’m not ready!

You better be as this is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Don’t worry, there’s still no cut off time! We don’t offer refunds to any of our races unfortunately So you have no choice but to be there!

What a very special day indeed it is today.

SBR.ph Team

A triathlete making a comeback and a true blue Scorpio. That sums it up quite nicely :)
