Danao To Host XTERRA Philippines 2017
XTERRA is back in Cebu as Danao plays hosts to the biggest off-road triathlon race of the country!
After a brief 2 year absence, XTERRA is back in Cebu! Before transferring to Albay, it was Liloan who hosted the world’s premier off-road series.
This has come as a surprise as Sunrise Events usually locks in a venue for 3 years. We’ll never know what happened with XTERRA Albay but it’s best to focus now on Danao and how XTERRA can help the city in terms of boosting its revenue’s via sports tourism.
The main event will the XTERRA FULL which is a 1.5km Swim – 40km Bike – and 10m Run. The race will also have a LITE category (750m Swim + 20km Bike + 5km Run) as well as relay categories.
But the most interesting part of this race is the DUATHLON category which is suitable to those who aren’t that familiar or confident enough for open water swimming. The duathlon is a 2.5km Run – 20km Bike – and 5km Run.
