Mary Joy Tabal wins RP’s First Gold!
Let the gold rush begin! Mary Joy Tabal wins the Philippines first gold at the 29th Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Tabal won the Women’s Marathon is a dominating time of 2h 48mins to bag our first gold medal.
This result comes after all the trouble between her and PATAFA, which initially barred her from joining any of the training sessions, funding, and joining the national team; all because of politics.
Congratulations, Mary Joy! Thanks for bringing the much needed pride and “Joy” to our country!
