SPOTTED: Sunnyside Taktak | Antipolo City

Sunnyside, a mom and pop café operated by Bim Santos and his wife Cairyn, is a must-visit spot for athletes training in Antipolo City. Located at Pinagmisahan St, right next to Hinulugang Taktak, the cafe is not only a convenient spot for cyclists and runners, but also a love letter to the community that has been a big part of their lives.

At Sunnyside, you’ll find a variety of healthy drinks and refreshments to choose from. Whether you’re looking for a pre- or post-workout drink, or just something refreshing to cool off with, Sunnyside has you covered. The menu, which is a work in progress, currently includes energy teas, delicious shakes, protein coffee, and classic shakes.

It’s also a good place to spot athletes in secret training mode!

Energy Teas are priced at Php 130, Delicious shakes are priced at Php 160, Protein Coffee is priced at Php 160, Classic shakes are priced at Php 120. The energy teas, which come in flavors such as cucumber, apple lychee, apple mango, four seasons, and blue crush, are less than 25 calories and provide healthy and clean energy without the crash. They also boost metabolism allowing your body to burn 80-100 calories and contain Vitamin C and digestive support. The delicious shakes, available in flavors such as Oreo Delight, Choco Crumble, Triple Chocolate, Strawberry and Cream, Snickers, and Birthday Cake, are packed with 21 vitamins and minerals, high protein, high fiber, under 300 calories, and up to 24g of protein. They are also a great full meal replacement that will keep you full for up to 3 hours. The classic shakes, available in flavors such as French Vanilla, Dutch Chocolate, Wild Berry, Cookies and Cream, and Dulce De Leche, are under 250 calories, contain up to 15g of quality protein, 21 essential vitamins and minerals, a good source of fiber, and are O cholesterol / O trans fat. Lastly, the protein coffee, which contains 80 calories, 15g of quality protein, is sugarfree and 80mg of caffeine.
