From race-day support to long-term development, the NDP aims to turn raw talent into world-class competitors.

How They Were Selected

TRAP follows a rigorous, multi-phase selection process that blends measurable standards with performance insight.

1. Talent Identification

  • Youth: Born 2010–2012 (13–15 years old)

  • Junior: Born 2006–2009 (16–19 years old)

  • Must be a Filipino citizen and attend national try-outs

2. Performance Standards

  • Meet swim and run time qualifications

  • Demonstrate proper bike handling

  • Compete in TRAP-sanctioned events for evaluation

3. Final Selection Process

  • Initial trials → performance evaluation → committee review

For those who didn’t make it this year — this isn’t the end. Keep showing up. Keep training. The journey continues, and the doors will open again.

SBR.ph Final Thoughts

These athletes aren’t just names on a list — they’re the future of Philippine multisport. And if this year’s lineup is any indication, the future looks strong.

Congratulations to the 2025 NDP athletes, their coaches, and their families. The work is far from over — but today, we celebrate.

We thank Triathlon Philippines for continuing to build the ladder for young talent. And we look forward to watching these athletes climb it.

SBR.ph Team

A triathlete making a comeback and a true blue Scorpio. That sums it up quite nicely :)
