Sun Life 5150 Bohol & Go for Gold Sunrise Sprint Returns to Bohol for the Largest Staging Yet

Panglao, Bohol (July 12, 2024) – The much-anticipated Sun Life 5150 Bohol and Go for Gold Sunrise Sprint will make a triumphant return to the picturesque white sand beaches of Bellevue Resort on July 14, 2024. This year’s event marks the seventh annual staging, promising to be the largest Olympic-distance triathlon in the country, with close to 800 athletes set to compete.

A Growing Triathlon Community

The Sun Life 5150 Bohol has rapidly grown in popularity, drawing a capacity crowd and closing registrations weeks before the event. This surge in participation highlights the expanding triathlon community, with numerous first-time athletes eager to experience one of the most inviting courses in the region.

Challenging Yet Scenic Course

The triathlon comprises a 1.5-kilometer swim, a 40-kilometer bike ride, and a 10-kilometer run. Starting from the shores of the Bellevue Resort, athletes will embark on a straightforward bike course along Dauis-Panglao Road and Fonacier Circumferential Road, before concluding with the run leg back at the resort. The course is known for its flat, paved roads and a scenic route that enhances the racing experience.

Sun Life Philippines, in partnership with The IRONMAN Group, has been instrumental in bringing the 5150 events to Cebu and Bohol. Carla Gonzalez-Chong, Chief Client Experience and Marketing Officer of Sun Life Philippines, emphasized the company’s dedication to promoting a healthy lifestyle. “We believe that a healthy lifestyle is key to living a fulfilling life.
