Over 700 Participants Shine at Ayala Vermosa Sports Hub

Ayala Vermosa Sports Hub, June 16, 2024 – The Aquaman Aquathlon 2024 concluded with resounding success, reinforcing its status as the longest-running aquathlon in the country. This year’s event saw an overwhelming turnout of over 700 participants, with social media awash in blue hearts and the hashtag #AquamanAquathlon2024, celebrating the accomplishment of newly minted Aquamans.

Despite early weather concerns, the day blessed athletes with near-perfect racing conditions, contributing to an impressive 94% finishing rate. The event featured a record-breaking 200 AquaKid participants, showcasing the growing interest and enthusiasm for aquathlon among the younger generation.

fThe event was a testament to the resilience and determination of all athletes, particularly the para-athletes who demonstrated that disability is merely another ability. Their inspiring performances captivated the audience and highlighted the inclusive spirit of the Aquaman Aquathlon.

As part of the SBR.ph Tri Series 2024, the Aquaman Aquathlon sets the stage for the upcoming races. The next event in the series is the Duaman Duathlon, scheduled for August 4, 2024, at Clark Freeport Zone. Athletes will challenge themselves with a run-bike-run format, pushing their limits in a dynamic and scenic course. Following that is the Triman Triathlon, set to take place on September 22, 2024, at Fontana, Clark Freeport Zone. This thrilling race will combine swimming, biking, and running, offering a comprehensive test of endurance and versatility.

In addition to these events, the Duaman Triple Crown is generating significant excitement. This series of duathlons concludes with the return of the highly anticipated Duaman Duathlon X2, scheduled for November 10, 2024, at New Clark City.

The Aquaman Aquathlon 2024 was proudly presented by GO FOR GOLD, with NUTRITION DEPOT serving as the official sports nutrition store.
