Breaking News : Races Back To Non Drafting Format | Aerobars Now Allowed | Meeting Minutes Leaked
Amidst the turmoil and the online backlash following the announcement of the new rules, the race organizers, while munching on “aero” chocolate bars, met this morning to talk about the new rules. As usual, it was a closed-door, race organizers only meeting.

It has been decided that it is best for the community, for aerobars to be allowed once again. “Kawawa nga naman yung mga bumili ng mga high end na tri bike”, said one race organizer. So to those who bought tri bikes with integrated aerobars, worry no more! You can STILL use your tri bike in its full glory.
As for the drafting, the organizers made a unified stand that triathlon should be about individual strength and glory. So the big races, like the race series with the numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4, the race named after a snake, and the other original non-drafting ones, are back to their traditional non-drafting format. Races who are originally non-drafting though, like the SBR.ph Tri Series Triman Triathlon and the Philippine Duathlon Series, will remain as draft-legal races.
So without further ado, we present to you the one who thought about the new rules. In short, who you should blame!
To summarize : none of those meetings ever happened. Your tri bike is safe and drafting is STILL ILLEGAL! Please don’t draft! Have a good day :) Oh yeah, hope you didn’t sell your aerobars :)
