Here’s an aquathlon like no other! The Island Cove Offroad Aquathlon combines a beginner-friendly course with the fiesta atmosphere of Island Cove! The event is open to multisport newbies and trail runners who love running as one with nature!


The Oceania swimming pool takes center stage at the Island Cove Offroad Aquathlon happening on May 13, 2018 (Sunday).

Swim laps around the 190 meter pool before you run on the beginner-friendly trails of Island Cove. The trails are flat and fast but don’t let the lack of climbs fool you! Get ready for an Aquathlon like no other.

The Island Cove Offroad Aquathlon is also part of the Philippine Aquathlon Series so top finishers will earn points towards the series championship.


Hotel rooms are also available for families and friends who wish to spend the night on the island before race day.

RACE SCHEDULE

4:30 AM – Race Kit Claiming
4:30 – 6:00 AM – Transition opens (participants only)
6:00 AM – Transition closes
6:10 AM – Race briefing for first 5 waves (race briefing to be given every 5 waves)
6:15 AM – Standard Distance, All adult individual age groupers & relay swimmers (4 swimmers at a time every 1 minute interval)
8:30 AM – Lite Distance, All adult individual age groupers & Junior Lite (4 swimmers at a time every 1 minute interval)
8:45 AM – Junior Sprint and Junior Super Sprint
10:00 AM – Cut off for swim leg, pool opens to public
10:30 AM – Cut off for run leg
11:00 AM – Fiesta lunch at Cavite Hall
11:30 AM – Awarding

HOW TO GET THERE

Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park is 25 minutes away from Makati via Skyway, NAIAX and Cavitex. Exit at the end of Cavitex (Kawit) then follow the signs to Island Cove. While traffic is light on Sunday mornings, we recommend that you stay at Island Cove the night before the race so that you have less to worry about.

There is ample parking for participants and guests.

WHAT TO BRING: Bring a valid government or school I.D. plus your registration confirmation email when claiming your race kit. No I.D., no race kit. Participants will have access to the Oceania Water Park shower facilities after the race so bring a fresh change of clothes.

LUNCH: Don’t forget your appetite as you are treated to a sumptuous post-race fiesta buffet, courtesy of Island Cove. Participants receive one lunch voucher with their race kit. Lost vouchers cannot be replaced. Participants who bring family and friends to watch the race may purchase additional lunch vouchers during registration. Only a limited number of lunch vouchers will be available on race day so better purchase your additional vouchers as soon as you register. Guests can also choose to dine at Sangley Point or the Fishing Village.
