AAI and Black Arrow Express X 2018 Century Tuna IRONMAN Philippines
Total logistics solutions provider Black Arrow Express (BAE), a subsidiary of the AAI Group of Companies (AAI Group), partnered up with Sunrise Events , the official licensee of Ironman events in the Philippines, to be the official logistics support for all upcoming Ironman events in the country until 2020.
The 2018 Century Tuna Ironman Philippines is the first full-distance Ironman race in the Philippines, which comprises of a 3.8km swim, 180km bike, and a 42km run. Happening on June 3, 2018 at Subic Bay, it is the only other sanctioned Ironman event in Southeast Asia, apart from Langkawi, Malaysia. The event also commemorates the 10th year of Ironman branded events being held in the Philippines. Over 40 countries are represented in this edition of Ironman, and the event is expecting thousands of participants from all over the globe.
Allan Brizuela, President of Black Arrow Express and 70.3 triathlon finisher, is also competing in the full-distance Ironman race. “We want to highlight our group capacity and ability to handle unconventional and complex movements at scale through events like Ironman,” said Brizuela.
“The event reflects the vision and mission of the company. The amount of strength, endurance, and patience needed to finish a full race within the time limit is similar to the commitment we have to picking-up items and delivering them within a certain timeframe to anywhere in the Philippines,” he adds.
Black Arrow Express is also set to be a title sponsor for the 5i50 series in November 2018.
