The home of 2019 Southeast Asian Games Triathlon Silver Medalist, Andrew Kim Remolino in Talisay Cebu burned down yesterday. They were not able to save anything but fortunately, the entire family is safe. Let’s help them get back on their feet.
30 families were affected by the fire in Sitio Linkong, Barangay Cansojong recorded at 1:52 on (July 12, 2020) and before the local firefighters were able to control the fire and declare Fire Under Control in 2:08.*
As shown in the featured image, Kim was able to retrieve his Silver Medal when he went back to the house after the blaze. All of Kim’s medals since he was a kid melted and is gone forever. The strength of the fire burned everything but the SEA Games medal survived.
They also weren’t able to save any of the 5 bikes that they have inside the house.

Coached by his Dad, the family basically dedicated their lives to giving honor to the country via the sport of triathlon and the results are starting to show. Prior to bagging the silver, we were fortunate to meet Kim and his Father at the 5th Annual SBR.ph Awards way back in 2018 where Kim won Best Male Youth Triathlete of the Year. Kim is also being groomed as the country’s next big thing in Triathlon.
We’ve gotten in touch with the family and asked how we can help. Any form of donation will surely be appreciated but given the pandemic and the situation that everyone is in, it’s best if we can help them monetarily so they can slowly rebuild their lives immediately.
On behalf of the family, we encourage everyone to donate directly to their bank account. Any amount at this point is huge. Below is the verified bank account of Kim’s sister. If possible, send us a copy of the deposit slip so we can help the family collate the deposits as we are planning to create a post along with the total amount raised. Please indicate as well if you want the donation to be anonymous.
Please send directly to:
