Join the Mikel Lovina Jamborun: Run for a Cause and Help Feed Children in Need
The Mikel Lovina Jamborun is an annual fundraising event that honors the memory of a beloved sportsman and dear son, brother, cousin, and friend who passed away in a car accident at the age of 18. The event is now in its 11th year and is organized by Mikel’s family and friends.
Proceeds from registration will go to the Negrense Volunteers for Change Foundation (NVC) to help fund their Feeding Force Project. For every kilometer that participants run, a child will be fed. Generous sponsors have pledged to donate 1 Mingo Meal for every 1 kilometer that is raised. The more kilometers that are run, the more children will be fed.
The Mikel Lovina Jamborun 2023 will take place from January 22nd to 29th, 2022. Participants can run anywhere in the world and can choose from 11K, 26K, or 44K distances. The donation fee for the event is P500. Included in the registration fee are an e-Bib, e-Frame, e-Certificate, and donation.
Registration for the event can be done through the PF Mobile App. Payment can be made via BDO, East West Bank, BPI, or GCASH. Once payment is made, participants should email the deposit slip along with their PF Atleta Transaction ID to [email protected]
This is a virtual race, and participants can use a GPS-tracking running app, watch, or treadmill to track and finish the race. Once finished, participants should take a photo of their result and submit it. The race is based on an honor system, and periodic checks will be done on the submissions. Participants should note that all GPS-based app and treadmill submissions are allowed, and accounts will be suspended if fraudulent results are found.
