From TRIMAN to IRONMAN

We received this DM from an IRONMAN finisher and couldn’t help but share it (with his permission, of course). We don’t know how many are out there with a similar journey like his. But like what we said before the very first SBR.ph Tri Series last 2013, if we can have a beginner who joins, finishes the series and eventually becomes an IRONMAN, sulit na sulit na ang lahat. :) We cannot stress enough how happy this makes us feel. Kami ang dapat magpasalamat.

Congratulations, Sir! YOU ARE AN IRONMAN!

Dear SBR.ph Team

I just wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for the work that you do and the impact that you have had on my journey to becoming a triathlete. After a long hiatus, it’s so exciting to see the website and social media starting to get active again. It has been difficult to stay active and motivated during the pandemic. The lockdowns and restrictions made it tough to train and stay in shape, and I was struggling to find my footing.

Your Tri Series event was the catalyst for my road to fitness and I have been able to accomplish so much since then. I have completed a number of triathlons, and even finished my first ironman. I never would have thought that I could accomplish something like that. The training and guidance that I received from your team was invaluable and I will always be grateful for the opportunity to participate in such a well-organized event.

I also wanted to thank you for all of the funny social media posts that you have shared over the years. They always brought a smile to my face, and I missed them dearly during the pandemic. It was great to see them start to pop up again as the events started to become active once more.

I know that I am not alone in my appreciation of your work. The new posts on the website and social media have not gone unnoticed and I’m sure that a lot of people will be inspired, just like me, to conquer their triathlon fears and dreams.

Nothing will ever beat the original. The impact that SBR.ph has had on the growth of triathlon in the Philippines, especially in the early years, cannot be underestimated.

In short, I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for being such an important part of my journey to fitness, and thank you for helping me to accomplish something that I never thought possible. I am forever grateful for all that you do, and I am excited to see what the future holds for the SBR.ph Tri Series events.

I urge you to please keep the momentum going and I am looking forward to your comeback in 2023. Thank you for all that you do and for being such a positive force in the triathlon community.

A triathlete making a comeback and a true blue Scorpio. That sums it up quite nicely :)
