April Fool’s Reactions | SBR.ph Tri Series Double Distance Prank
April 1 is starting to become our favorite day of the year :) Last year, a lot of people got sad when we announced that SBR.ph is going offline for good. This year, we upped the ante by announcing that we are doubling the distance of the Duaman Duathlon and Triman Triathlon!
To say that we got a lot of people pissed, would be an understatement. That all changed of course when they realized what day it was.
Read on below to see some of the now classic comments sent to us via our facebook page, forum, twitter, website, and damn, even our mobile! LOL.
Some of those who registered got really concerned:

12noon ba ang start? Toasted skin!!
Will let my beginner friends know the new distance, baka ma shock.
Some freaked out:
Some got enraged!
aww.. beginner lang po ako eh first time ko mag duathlon di ko naman po alam na ganito na.. bakit naman po ??
this is unfair for the newbies who signed up!
If newbies and seasoned Triathletes are expecting to race with the original distances, do you think it is fair for them to race with the new distances since dates are too short to add trainings?
I am just afraid that newbies and seasoned Triathletes like me might be overwhelmed with the new distances and push more than what they have practiced for. With the past triathlon races, there are Triathletes who pushed themselves really hard but unfortunately didn’t make it.
I was just thinking that newbies are supposed to enjoy their first endurance races so as to enjoy all their incoming races also. Challenges are definitely good but let us all consider those who practice for the distances that were post months ago.
I just wanted everybody to finish all your 3 races with a smile. You’ve done a great job on the first one (aquaman), there are still to fine tune but in time I know you will become one of the most or organized group when it comes to endurances races.
I welcome the doubling of the distance but hope you can reconsider not to change the start time. Making it 12pm would be terribly hot for the Duaman distance. I don’t think newbies (and 2nd timers like me) have done enough heat training for that.
And demanded a refund!
And then they realized…
Ay potek! April fools day! Hahahaha…
“It might also help to check out the date today! ;-)”

Some loved it of course :)
But here’s the killer! There’s one who registered because he liked the longer version!
@swimbikerunph my cousin @tonaki registered because he thought it was for real. Hahaha!

Don’t worry guys. We won’t do something as silly as changing the venue with barely 2 weeks before the race :) Although we must say, we were surprised by some of the reactions. They actually liked the new and longer distances! Hmm, something to ponder next year or after the SBR.ph Tri Series? :) We’ll see ;)
Don’t forget to register for the Duaman Duathlon and the grand finale of the SBR.ph Tri Series, the Triman Triathlon!
Thanks for reading!
