9th Gabriel’s Symphony | Donate Your Old Shoes!

Mark the date everyone! This September 3, 2011, let’s all troop to Ayala, Alabang for the 9th Gabriel’s Symphony!

Now that Ironman 70.3 Philippines is finally over, let’s have some fun and do something for a cause!

As you all know, charity work is something that is close to  SWIMBIKERUN.ph.  A couple of months ago at the Animo Triathlon, SBR.ph’s first ever Shoe Drive was organized wherein we were able to collect Forty One (41) pairs of shoes!

Due to insistent public demand, we’re bringing it back!

To everyone who missed SBR.ph’s first ever shoe drive, here’s you chance to donate your old shoes again! Just visit our booth at the Gabriels Symphony! Also on display will be SWIMBIKERUN.ph shirts and car stickers!

A big THANK YOU to Sen. Pia Cayetano and her staff for giving us this wonderful opportunity.

But I wanna train! What can I do there?

Since the event falls on a Saturday, which is a long training day for most triathletes, you can join the 9am bike-A-thlon! (I already registered for this one! Ride with me and the rest of the SWIMBIKERUN.ph community if you want!)

You also have the option doing a swim-A-thlon or a run-A-thlon! It’s basically all up to you Heck, you can do another 70.3 distance!

There’s A LOT of activities in store for everyone on September 3! Check out the poster below for details!

The main thrust of the foundation is to make a difference in the lives of children with special needs.  These include children with cleft lip and palate and those who are visually and hearing-impaired.  We have also been helping indigent children develop their potential, such as the children of Daang Hari and Marillac Hills, some of whom have shown potential as runners and athletes.  To read more about advocacies and programs, please click:

As always, we have prepared a lot of activities for everyone on Saturday, September 3 2011 at the Alabang Country Club. Some of these include:
1. One Hour Swim-a-thon
2. One Hour Run-a-thon
3. Two Hour Bike-a-thon
4. Triathlon for Adults
5. SuperTriKids Triathlon

All the details for the activities mentioned are on our website. We will also have demonstration games by the Younghusband Football Academy, and an Adventure Race for Daang Hari and Marillac Hills children. Timex and Alaska Milk are sharing with us their fun activity booths and puzzles for the kids as part of this.

A triathlete making a comeback and a true blue Scorpio. That sums it up quite nicely :)

  1. It’s nice to see that Swim.Bike.Run.ph is finally getting the recognition that it deserves. What’s better is that you are using all the mileage you’re getting for charity. This is what a website and a community is supposed to be. By doing this you are encouraging everyone to not focus so much on training and racing, but also focus on helping out the less fortunately as well.

I’ve been monitoring this website for the longest time and by now, it’s obvious what your website is all about. YWe want to support and help you by advertising. Please expect an email from me and my company.
