2017 Mt Mayon ASTC Triathlon Asian Cup: The most scenic TRI race and most challenging run in the country. August 13, 2017 Legazpi CIty, Albay, Philippines. Presented by Ibalong Festival 2017 | Brought to you by the City Government of Legazpi, Cyborg Entertainment, Missy Hilario, Tri Team 300, and ARC Timing. Sanctioned by the Triathlon Association of the Philippines(TRAP), Asian Triathlon Confederation (ASTC) and the International Triathlon Union (ITU).

The course is a scenic tour of the city and the Mayon volcano in itself! It starts with a 1.5 kilometer swim off Legazpi blvd followed by a fast, aero 40 kilometer bike ride on the rustic province landscape and into the city proper. Upon your return to T2, athletes will then run a coastal 10 kilometer run as they complete the last leg of the course.

RACE PACKET

Each participant will get “a run bag” and “a bike bag” which will contain:

  • SWAG items from sponsors
  • Bike and Helmet Stickers
  • A Swim Cap
  • Race Number (Bib)
  • Pins
  • Timing Chip

BIKE CHECK

Race Day Morning from 4:30 am to 6am only. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Participants are to fall in line at the entrance of the transition area for the bike check in. Our bike mechanics will check on each bike before entering T1/T2. All participants will have to verify their identities via race number found on the helmet and bike stickers. Once this process is clear, each participant will be given a specific place in T1/T2 after signing a waiver and having their photo taken.

The same procedure will be followed during the bike check out at 12:00 noon. Bike owners will be the ONLY ONES allowed to check out bikes from the transition area, after siging a waiver and having their picture re-taken.

START TYPE

Mass start on the water for all divisions.

TIME LIMIT

Swim: 1hour

Overall: Everyone has 5 hours to finish the course before roads open.
