The NCR Swim Series 1 | March 11, 2023

The NCR Swim Series 1, organized by the Swim League Philippines (SLP), is set to take place on March 11, 2023, at the Muntinlupa Aquatic Center, located in the Muntinlupa Sports Complex, Bgy. Tunasan, Muntinlupa City. This event aims to promote a higher level of competition for aspiring swimmers and provide coaches with opportunities to interact, exchange ideas, and learn along with other coaches and swimmers.

The competition is open to all schools, swim teams (clubs), and swimmers regardless of affiliation and good standing. The eligibility criteria require that swimmers must be at least fourteen (14) years of age by March 11, 2023. The facility boasts an indoor Olympic-sized swimming pool with a 10-lane, 50-meter capacity and a seating capacity of 1,200.

The competition will commence with a morning session from Event 1 to Event 20, followed by an afternoon session from Event 21 to Event 63. The age group class A, B, C, and D (boys and girls) will consist of swimmers aged 6 and under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 17 years old and over. Age reckoning for the competition will be as of March 11, 2023.

The competition format requires that coaches ensure the ages entered are true and correct. Swimmers with no seed times submitted will be declared No Time (NT) and placed in the early heats. The entry fee is PHP 1,500, which includes freebies and coach incentives. Verifiable times must be submitted through the official entry form, which includes the swimmer’s name, birth date, event number, seed time, contact numbers, and duly signed by their coaches.

The payment deadline is March 9, 2023, with two steps for payment verification and confirmation. Payment can be made via GCash or BDO Savings Account. The completed filled-up official entry meet form with the name of the team, the head coach’s name (email and phone number), and the number of swimmers must be sent with a screenshot of proof of payment to [email protected]. Payment verifications and confirmations through other channels, such as FB messenger, will not be entertained.

The awards will be individual medals for the top three finishers of each event per category (Category A, B, C, and D). Trophies will be awarded for the Most Outstanding Swimmers in each age category for A, B, C, and D based on Standard Points. Team trophies/plaques shall be awarded to the Over-All Champion from the 1st Runner-up up to the 6th Runner-up for A, B, C, and D categories based on the combined Standard Points for boys and girls events. In case of a tie, the number of medals starting with gold, silver, and bronze will be considered.

The conduct of awarding ceremonies will be after all events of the final session, and the points system for individual and relay events are (1st -9), (2nd -7), (3rd-6), (4th-5), (5th-4) (6th -3), (7th -2), (8th -1) and (1st-18), (2nd-14), (3rd-12), (4th-10), (5th-8) (6th -6), (7th -4), (8th -2), respectively.

The submission of entries and scratches deadline on March 9, 2023. Interested participants and coaches should ensure that they meet the eligibility requirements, complete the registration process, and submit their entries before the deadline to avoid disqualification.
