2014 Tri United 1 | Race Results and Review


Congratulations to the winners and finishers of Tri United 1! Participants were blessed with near-perfect weather conditions as they conquered the 1.5 km swim, 40km bike, and 10km run course.

“You can’t win a triathlon in the swim, but you can lose it”.  John “Rambo” Chicano took the crown from heavy favorite, Nikko Huelgas to win the first leg of the Tri United Series. Chicano finished in 2:01:14 while Huelgas, who overcame an almost 1 minute late swim start, salvaged second place with a time of 2:03:22. Reigning SBR.ph Filipino Elite Triathlete of the Year August Benedicto came in a close third with a time of 2:03:49.

In the women’s division, Radka Vodickova of the Czech Republic obliterated the field with a blistering time of 2:08:40. Monica Torres came in almost seven minutes later with a time of 2:15:57 while Maria Claire Adorna finished third with a 2:20:44 time.
