A triathlete making a comeback and a true blue Scorpio. That sums it up quite nicely :)

  1. race was good, course was good and weather was good. what needs improvement was the tracking of the bike loops specially if the other riders did really complete the 6 laps around the route. while i was not at the main group i was sure i was not at the tail end group. but after finishing my 6 laps, which according to my computer tracker was around 34km, i was almost the last few to come in. I was wondering how could some of the other bikers who i was sure i passed in the earlier loops got to be ahead of me? maybe they did not finish the 6 loops but maybe less instead??? I was looking at the winners and some of the times of the winners in the age groups  (in the men) are even faster than the elite (women)?? is this possible. anyway, that’s just an observation.

    1. ElmerM I think you have miscounted your laps. according to my garmin the 6 laps was a short off 30Km. It only recording about 29km. I did verified it in my garmin connect player that I did 6 laps. If your tracker says 34Km, i guess you made an extra lap.

      1. EiloR .  My velo8 tracker also registered 30km for the six (6) loops. (In fact, I was surprised because the original distance was supposed to be 40km). My Nike+ Iphone app was 34 km.  Anyway, it was just an observation. I don’t mind if others did less than the 6 loops, its their own lookout. Mine was more of a suggestion to further improve monitoring by Thumbie and organisers of the participants’ completion of the required tracks for consistency and fairness. Anyway, I’m happy with my PR for my first standard dua (after joining several sprint duas). Cheers to all.

  2. when  can  we  see  the  results  of  the  concluded  philippine  duathlon…why  the  organizer  is  taking  so  long…

  3. overall, it was good except for that one intersection near the condominium buildings when during the bike leg, participants have to stop to give way to passing vehicles.  it was dangerous as several eager bikers opted to wade in and out of the gridlock…it was a killjoy.

    1. Yes, really dangerous. Marshalls of this kind of events should understand that most of this bikers are in cleats, and must know that these bikers cannot make a full stop immediately. This is the reason why bikers opted to “wade in and out of the gridlock” as they do not have enough time to uncleat and make a full stop. Doing a full stop without uncleating your bike shoe will also result in a disaster. Maybe bikers need to practice “trackstanding”. =D
