Tri United Exceed Long Distance 2017 | Race Results and Review
Well, that was a hot one! The race peaked at 38 degrees which literally roasted the athletes as they attempted to conquer the final tune up race for the big one this coming August.
SBR.ph is a proud media partner of the Tri United Exceed Long Distance.
It was nice to see newbies and veterans gut it out along the shadeless racecourse of Subic Bay. As expected, many were using the race as a tune up for the upcoming race in Cebu this August but that didn’t stop them from going all out on the racecourse!
Coming out of the water with a big lead, Paul Jumamil finished in 3:33 and was virtually untouched the whole race. Benjamin Rana attempted to close the gap on the run but Jumamil hung on to claim top spot in the Men’s Elite category. Rana eventually finished in 3:36 while Billy Biag from Camsur Tri Team capped off the podium with a 3rd place finish.
There were no female elite participants on this edition.
In the Team Competition, it was Ryder Omega Tri Team who bagged first place. Followed by Team Sante Barley and Team Fitness First.
